Massage with acupuncture
Gurbir is authorised by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario to perform acupuncture, so a session can combine fine, sterile needling with hands-on massage rather than sending you to a second clinic on a second day. Many extended health plans cover acupuncture on a separate line from massage, which is worth checking before you book.
Your first visit
It arrives by email the moment you book your first appointment. Health history, medications, anything bothering you. Two minutes on your couch means your full appointment time goes to treatment.
Where things feel tight, what makes them worse, and what you want out of the hour. If a different treatment or length would serve you better, Gurbir will say so before she starts.
You undress only to your comfort and stay draped throughout. Pressure is checked as she works — ask for more or less at any point, no explanation needed.
A couple of stretches to hold the work between visits, and a receipt emailed automatically with the registration details your insurer asks for.
